Cheap Chicken Eggs in Kuala Lumpur

You can get them at Pasar Besar Taman Tun Dr Ismail (Pasar Besar TTDI). The price per egg is 38 sen for grade C, 40 sen for grade B and 42 sen for grade A. Open every day (except Monday) from 6 am to 2 pm.

Most supermarkets sell grade A eggs, usually RM 6 – RM 8 per ten. That’s 60 sen an egg. So city folk who can shop at Pasar Besar TTDI save a little.

Eggs bought here last longer than supermarket eggs. Maybe because stock turns over faster at a wet market.

Raw eggs keep longer in the fridge. Store them in the fridge for a longer shelf life.

You can get them as early as just after dawn or at the latest before Zohor prayers.

So on a working day with a 12:30 PM lunch break, you can make it here in time. Upstairs there’s all sorts of food for lunch.

You can have breakfast here too. All sorts of breakfast menus upstairs. So while buying eggs you can also enjoy breakfast (roti canai, kuih-muih, and others) or lunch.

For cars, parking at the side and under the wet market. No need to worry about parking here.

For motorcycles, the parking is a bit far. You’ll walk a little to reach the market.

For pedestrians, Pasar Besar TTDI is about a 10-minute walk from MRT TTDI Deloitte. For city folk who want a morning workout while buying eggs, this is the right activity.

Comfortable, clean and not wet. Unlike other wet markets, the floor is clean and the place doesn’t smell much. Which means you don’t have to worry about your clothes smelling of fish if you come here only to buy eggs.
