History is only events that have already happened. History read wrongly is wasted. Read rightly, it gives meaning and value to your life.
Story #1
Yusuf grew up in a poor family (little wealth). With his family’s buying power limited, his requests were often turned down. When Yusuf entered working life, he was determined to get even. Buy everything he wanted.
Story #2
Yusuf grew up in a poor family (little wealth). With his family’s buying power limited, his requests to buy things were often turned down. When Yusuf entered working life, he had already grown used to not spending carelessly. Yusuf became a very careful man.
Yusuf’s history is the same in story #1 and #2. But how that history is read decides whether Yusuf becomes a better man, or stays poor, inheriting his family’s poverty.
Which means whatever your past is, it only becomes meaningful when you take a lesson from it for a better today.
You don’t need to worry about what has already gone. What is worth worrying about is how you learn from the past so that you become a better person.
