Is the Oatside Carton Actually Good?

Yes. Good. On the first sip, this drink reminds you of soy milk without the sugar. Not bland, full of cream, but not too thick. A very unusual mouthfeel, and everyone should try it.

The carton label does not claim it is milk. It is only labelled “Oat M*lk”, spelled without the letter “i”. So if you thought this was milk + oats, that is your problem.

Mix a little Milo, add ice, fill the rest with Oatside. Good 👍.

How to drink it

You can drink it straight. Mix it with Milo and it works too. The Milo gets more creamy. Oatside chocolate is not very sweet. It tastes like Milo with less sugar.

Price

RM 9.90 a carton for 1 litre as of 9 December 2024. This price applies at Lotus (Mutiara Damansara) and Jaya Grocer (Glo Damansara). Convenience stores like 7-Eleven sell it around RM 11.90. It is on the premium side. Drink it daily and it will burn through your money. So buy with some discipline.
