The latest mobile data plan offered by Yes 5G is the best mobile data plan ever. With only RM 35 per month with 100GB monthly quota and no speed cap is all I need. According to statistics, average monthly data usage is at ~30GB per month. Hence, 100GB monthly quota is enough and this is the last mobile data plan you will ever need.
However, using Yes 5G alone is risky as the coverage is not as wide as Celcom, Digi, Maxis and U Mobile.
As an example, during my travel to Universiti Utara Malaysia, Sintok, Kedah, there is no coverage of Yes 4G at all (October, 2019). Hence, I use my second sim slot to subscribe to U Mobile Pakej Perpaduan where it provides 30GB data for only RM 30 which valid for 180 days.
So, in the event of no Yes 4G/5G coverage, I can fallback to U Mobile to ensure that I’m always connected to the internet.
Update: Internet will always available after exhausting 100GB quota. According to Facebook comment, the speed will be 256Kbps.
