Review: Bumi Hijau Chilli Sauce

Good sauce. The chilli taste is unusual. Good with fried egg, omelette, fried chicken and burgers. I first heard of it in a promo video by Rahman Chea/Kanafly titled “Promoter Tahap Tinggi”.

It comes in several volumes. The one at Lotus is the 340g type. RM 2.75 a bottle (glass).

Ingredients

Sugar, modified starch, salt, pepper, mixed spices, contains acidity regulator (INS 260), preservative (INS 211), stabiliser (INS 466) and permitted food colouring (INS 124).

The main ingredient in most chilli sauce is sugar. So chilli sauce has to be used in moderation.

Does it taste good?

If you’re a Kimball fan, Bumi Hijau won’t be a problem. The taste is unusual, and there’s no saying which brand is better here.
